Network General has added VoIP Intelligence to its VoIP Forensics solution. The feature offers up a dashboard view of individual call performance and overall VoIP metrics as well as per-call VoIP performance and the ability to correlate voice and video communications with data traffic patterns. All of these abilities help VoIP providers prevent problems before they are able to impact quality, especially when it comes to unified services delivered on converged networks. Just like the guys and gals on CSI who recreate a crime scene to see what took place when things went wrong, the new solution enables VoIP troubleshooters to go back in time and see everything that happened at the network, packet and component level when trouble began. And, it allows them to do so without disrupting VoIP or other IT services taking place in real time.
