Deutsche Telekom said it may block Skype's iPhone application based on a clause in its data tariff agreement, according to the company. DT has banned the use of VoIP and IM apps for 18 months.
A DT spokesman said its T-Mobile division has the right to block Skype, as using the application on an iPhone constitutes a breach of contract. He said users that attempt to access Skype on the 3G network will be the easiest to spot, as wireless hotspots will disguise bandwidth usage better.
