Cablevision announced an upgrade to its Optimum Business offering that allows customers to deploy up to 24 lines of Optimum Voice VoIP calling, up from the previous limit of 12 lines per account. The new ploy is aimed at businesses with up to 100 employees; Cablevision said the move, targeted squarely at mid-sized businesses, is an attempt to mine a market that it said has been traditionally underserved by legacy phone companies.
Cablevision said each Optimum Voice line will feature flat-rate pricing, unlimited local and long-distance calling within the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, along with services including Enhanced Voice Mail, Find Me, Rollover Hunting and Three-Way Calling.
Each additional line of service will cost $29.99 per month. The upgraded Optimum Business offering will be available to Cablevision's entire service footprint, according to the company.
