It's the most wonderful time of the year--as they say--with IP communication companies wrapping up their year-end purchases and coming together in mergers and acquisitions. New presents are already being unwrapped with Google giving us glimpses of its new VoIP phone. And with the weather turning chilly we're all staying in and cozying up to hot cocoa and our Cisco telepresence or Skype Video to keep in touch with our pals. It's the holidays and it's also time to reflect on the year gone by.
Over the last couple months I've seen some major stories break, some long-in-coming stories finally wrap up and the general theme of the down economy play out for our industry. Just before the holiday break, I'd like to compile a list of some the top stories from the past year. I've got my list of favorites and I'm sure you've got your's. What major VoIP and IP communications news would make your 'Top Stories of 2009' list? Comment on our website or shoot me an email, I'd love to hear all your thoughts as I compile the list. -Mike [1]
