Avaya has announced the completion of its Nortel ES (NES) purchase and revealed some details about their plan to integrate the company. The strategy will build on Avaya's existing portfolio with capabilities from NES.
Avaya will build on its Aura Unified Communications (UC) offering by adding the former Nortel's Agile Communications Environment for the rapid development of communications enabled applications. The SIP-based Avaya Aura will also be used for a new contact center solution combining Avaya's and Nortel Enterprise Solutions' capabilities for agent desktop, work assignment, experience management, and analytics. Avaya plans to blend Nortel features, interfaces and phones with its IP Office offering to create a 'richer solution.'
