As technologies progress they seem to always go from wired to wireless and it was only a matter of time for the wired world of VoIP moved into the wireless space. In addition the wireless world still functions in an analog like way where the VoIP world has already seen what the transformation from Plain Old Telephone Serve can mean with the advent of teleconferencing, presence, unified communications systems, advanced call routing and call centers applications and even just HD voice and video quality.
According to the report from Ovum, mobile VoIP brought $605.8 million in revenues in 2008 in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. As wireless data networks emerge, the wireless world will begin to realize the power of sending thier voice over the IP network.
