Aculab: Demand increasing as companies integrate IP into existing networks
It seems like everyone is reporting that VoIP is in demand today. Whether it's wine stores taking advantage of UC, China's SME's demanding cost-savings from VoIP suppliers or even Europe and India seeking to bridge legacy TDM and IP PBXs. Aculab, provider of enabling technology for IP comm, says it's been seeing a sharp increase in demand for its ApplianX IP Gateway solutions.
Apparently, there has been a four-fold increase globally in demand for the ApplianX IP Gateway over 2009. The company has also sold more appliances in the past three months compared to the previous twelve!
The ApplianX IP Gateway supports a wide range of international protocols and aimed at both enterprise and service provider networks. Avaya and Cisco among others have certified ApplianX for integration with legacy TDM-based PBXs. With companies stuggling with the idea of abandoning their previous investments, the gateway is looking like a good way to go.
"We are very heartened by the traction the ApplianX IP Gateway product is gaining, particularly in the UK, India and across Europe," said Tim Joint, Commercial Manager for Aculab in a release. "From the conversations we've held with both our channel partners and end users, it's very clear that enterprises remain convinced that integrating advanced communications solutions into their existing networks continues to be the preferred option to meet both operational and economic requirements."
