Aculab Releases Microsoft OCS Servers

Targeting both enterprises and service providers, Aculab has released two new variants of its 1U ApplianX Gateway product for Microsoft Office Communications (OCS) 2007.

Customers can select an OCS 2007 solution that supports from a single E1/T1 trunk up to eight E1/T1s in a single 1U server. The OCS ApplianX Gateway is classed as a hybrid gateway because it comes preinstalled and is designed to run with OCS's Mediation Server function.

Performance under load has been tested demonstrating that ApplianX can readily support up to 240 simultaneous calls within a single unit. Other features include support for telephony protocols including PRI/ISDN, AT&T and NI2 and PBX interworking protocols including DPNSS and Q.SIG. Configurations are available in one, two, four or eight E1/T1 trunks. Standard high-availability features include dual redundant Ethernet connections and power supplies.
