Adtran gateways certified for Toshiba IPedge phones
Adtran (Nasdaq: ADTN) is providing gateways for use with Toshiba America Information Systems IPedge business communications system.
The company announced its Total Access 908 and 908e gateways have been certified as interoperable with the IPedge family of systems and are now available from authorized Toshiba dealers nationwide.
The Adtran gateways are used to convert T1/ISDN-PRI to SIP Trunks, allowing the connection of the IPedge systems to SIP Trunks.
Adtran's Total Access 900 Series gateways offer industry-standard SIP implementation, analog and PRI to SIP conversion for legacy support over a dynamic IP network and dynamic bandwidth allocation.
The company said the gateways also use standardized G.729a voice compression, requiring less bandwidth per voice call, include Voice Quality Monitoring (VQM) for enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), and support full-featured IP router for data support and Internet access.
