Allworx boosts international reach through ScanSource

Allworx, the enterprise telephony-focused systems unit of Paetec Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: PAET), has expanded an existing relationship with value-added reseller ScanSource to enable the company's marketing and sales efforts of the Allworx product line to include Latin America and the Caribbean.

ScanSource Latin America will carry the entire Allworx product line, which consists of its VoIP premise-based key systems and PBX systems aimed at businesses ranging from Small Office/Home Office (SO/HO) environments, up to those with 250 users. The Allworx solutions are supported by SIP trunking, as well as traditional carrier services.

Allworx said the expansion of its distribution reach is timed with the expansion of the Central American Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to lead to more businesses having a presence in both Central America and the United States.

Paetec also operates a U.S. CLEC business. Allworx is part of the company's Software and Technology Group.
