AudioCodes seeing success in expanding its VSP deals to Microsoft Lync market

VoIP technology provider AudioCodes (NASDAQ:AUDC) expanded its global ecosystem of partners with leading Microsoft Voice Specialized Partners (VSPs). Addressing large enterprises, the partnership enables delivery of products and services on a global basis for gradual migration and rapid adoption of Microsoft Lync.

The Microsoft VSP community is viewed as key to AudioCodes' success in the Microsoft market, said Nimrod Borovsky, VP of marketing at AudioCodes.

"We have been working closely with the VSPs ever since we started our strategic cooperation with Microsoft. Listening to their feedback and requirements, we have enriched our product offerings and solution portfolio, building a full suite of products specifically designed for the Microsoft Unified Communications environment," Borovsky said. "More recently, we have also introduced our professional services offering, supporting the VSPs with high level network design, planning and integration services."

The Israeli firm's Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) gateways have become integral to many Microsoft Lync offerings. They support scaling, capacity and interface options, ideal for remote site support. AudioCodes Gateways and SBAs also have the same core architecture, software and management facilities, which help partners reduce training and support requirements.

"AudioCodes is a key strategic partner in BT's Symphony ecosystem which globally delivers BT System Integration and Managed UC/Voice services," said Randy Schrock, VP of solutions at BT Global Services. "The breadth of AudioCodes solutions for Microsoft Lync encompasses Enhanced Media Gateways, Survivable Branch Appliances, Enterprise Session Border Controllers, mobility and call recording enabling BT to deliver and deploy best of breed Microsoft Lync turnkey solutions."

The company today also said it would release second quarter earnings results July 27, before the markets open, and will host a conference call and webcast on the results at 9 a.m. ET.
