Avaya releases ACE 2.3 with rich Aura, Microsoft and Lotus integration
IP communications is all about streamlining business communications, but sometimes our solutions need solutions that simplify them. Avaya's Agile Communications Environment (ACE) aims to do just that by allow customers to create a mashup of their various communication solutions and embed them into their business applications. With their latest release of the software, Avaya is offering some upgrades that promise further efficiency to customers.
The latest release of Avaya ACE includes a richer integration with Avaya Aura using a broad set of packaged applications and Web services on the platform. There is also a new client-side add-in for Microsoft Communicator that allows employees to click-to-call from online or premises-based Microsoft Communicator clients using Avaya deskphones. The release also offers an application to embed voice in the latest release of IBM Lotus Notes and Sametime--allowing users to click-to-call and see presence from within Lotus Release 8.5.1. Additionally there is a new IT developer toolkit for Avaya Aura which will allow developers to build apps that call actions based on criteria and trigger events.
