Bandwidth.com opens wholesale voice on IP-network

Bandwidth.com, a nationwide CLEC and supplier of VoIP and SIP Trunking services, announced today the general availability of wholesale voice origination on its all-IP network, FlexNetwork. The offering will work as a platform for businesses looking to build nationwide VoIP services.

The company already has businesses like Yext, Voxeo and OnState using the FlexNetwork for VoIP services. According to an interview with Venture beat, Bandwidth.com claims its ability to work with smaller companies and its offering of special services like SMS give it an advantage over the bigger players in the space like Level 3 and XO Communications.
