Bria 3.0 from CounterPath to support Linux
CounterPath is launching a new version of its VoIP softphone that's able to cross all the desktop barriers. Businesses interested in running Linux based shops will now be able to take advantage of the Bria software.
The Bria 3.0 release will run on Linux, Windows and Mac OS computers. The new offering gives enterprises the ability to extend VoIP across multiple operating systems and a broad range of devices by leveraging the CounterPath SDK and media engine. Another interesting thing about the new Bria for Linux is that it can be embedded on mobile handsets and set top boxes.
"The addition of Linux highlights CounterPath's commitment to ensuring that our softphones are robust, scalable and feature-rich, working across any platform, including both desktop or embedded," said Todd Carothers, vice president of product management, CounterPath in a release.
Bria 3.0 for Linux will be available in late July.
