BT to offer Microsoft UC software as managed service

British Telecom announced it will resell Microsoft unified communications software as a fully-hosted managed service for U.K. businesses, according to the companies. BT said clients will be able to access Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Office Live Meeting and Office Communications online through the offering.

The service provider also said it would be upgrading the Microsoft product suite later this year by integrating it with its Global Onevoice SIP trunking service.
