Cablecos out-satisfy telcos
Everyone curses the phone company. Now there's word that consumers like the VoIP they're getting from the cable company better than their old POTS service. The consultants J.D. Power & Associates did an overall customer satisfaction survey and found that in five of six regions, people were happier with the phone service since they switched from their legacy carrier. The exception: Verizon, in the Mid-Atlantic. Other winners were Cox Communications, Time Warner and Bright House Networks. VoIP carriers such as Vonage were not included in the survey.
