Can 70 million Chinese be wrong?

All of a sudden, a million customers doesn't look so big. Here's a report that says China will have 144 million paying VoIP customers by 2011. China's growing fast, of course, and its economy is growing faster--8 to 10 percent a year over the next five years. Of those 144 million customers, half of them will be initiating or terminating calls on a VoIP endpoint, not just using VoIP somewhere in a network. The prediction, from Atlantic-ACM, holds if China liberalizes its rules about terminating VoIP calls on the PSTN this year, as expected.
