CES: Panasonic reveals 3D Video conferencing
Rarely do my predictions come true days after I make them--especially ones that even I thought were far fetched. Enter Panasonic's 3D Video Conferencing system.
CES is a show of wonders, revealing some of the coolest gadgets that will be coming out now, in the distant future, or maybe never. Panasonic is a leading 3D technology innovator with a whole line of 3D TVs they are itching to sell. They also provide HD video conferencing solutions. The company decided to add their passion for all things 3D to their HD Visual Communications System to provide even more realism and depth of field to video conferencing applications.
By offering 3D, Panasonic believes the product will have great effects on the use of teleconferencing for educational purposes, medical procedure training and manufacturing applications. It was unclear at press time if this means we will all be wearing funny glasses at the next board meeting, but if you are at CES go check out Panasonic's booth to see what they are up to.
