Cloud video conferencing provider Nefsis offering multi-monitor support
Nefsis, which started its corporate life more than a dozen years ago as WiredRed Corp., is continuing to expand its videoconferencing offerings, recently rolling out dual and multi-monitor support to its online video conferencing service.
The company said the new service capabilities enable more flexibility for business users in arranging multipoint HD videos and live sharing screens across two or more monitors in desktop and conference room settings.
"Our multi-monitor support highlights the advantages of cloud-based video conferencing and off-the-shelf peripherals: tons of flexibility for any size business for any application, desktop to conference room," said Tom Toperczer, Nefsis marketing VP.
Nefsis allows any combination of floating, picture-in-picture, tiled videos or live data sharing on any monitor. For example, a user can display all of his videos on one monitor, while all of his presentation materials are on another.
The Nefsis cloud provides video routing, multichannel mixing and desktop gateway services.
The company contends that as long as users have adequate bandwidth, they can use the Nefsis cloud and its peripheral-agnostic capabilities to create their own telepresence studio with multiple HD displays.
The benefits of this system, the company said, include lower cost, industry standard SSL security, and desktop reach.
In February Nefsis rolled out its cloud-based HD Promo Pack for Business.
