EXFO launches high capacity wireless IMS and VoIP security test solution

In IP communications it's imperative that we keep our gateways secure. With more and more companies merging their VoIP, Wireless and UC systems, the need for increased security as well as quality of service is even more imperiative. Of course, adding levels of security also means adding bottlenecks in bandwidth and the potential for hurting that quality of service. EXFO has released a new version of their software that tests the security on gateways to make sure service quality continues unabated.

EXFO announced this week the release of new software features on the InterWatch R14 and QualityAssurer QA-604 platforms adding wireless, IMS and VoIP security gateways testing capabilities. The software can now help deploy wireless and wireline network architectures such as IMS, femtocells and LTE.

"With EXFO's solution, the security impact on users' sessions can be accurately measured at high load, thus providing NEMs and NSPs the confidence that they are developing and deploying products and services that will exceed their subscribers' expectations," said Hannu Huttunen, EXFO's Vice President-Wireless Division in a release.
