GENBAND completes acquisition of Cedar Point Communications

Genband has signed the definitive agreement to acquire Cedar Point Communications closing the deal to expand its VoIP standings.

The acquisition increases Genband's position in the cable VoIP market and adds Cedar Point's IP switching solutions to its portfolio of products.

Along with enhancing its product portfolio, Genband gains a number of high profile cable customers, including Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), Liberty, Charter (Nasdaq: CHTR) and Kabel Deutschland. It also sees Genband taking control of Cedar Point's 7.5 million lines globally.
