Genband launches S3 Session Border Controller on the GENiUS platform

Genband announced yesterday that the S3 Session Border Controller on the Genband GENiUS platform is now generally available. The S3 SBC on the GENiUS platform enables scalability while increasing system flexibility and reliability.

In addition to the S3 release, Genband also revealed that a number of companies had deployed the GENiUS platform including WorldSIM, a mobile virtual network operator. The company is using the Genband S3 on GENiUS for their IP Interconnect network. WorldSIM offers mobile roaming solutions and uses the S3 and GENiUS for extensive network visibility as well as for its ability to scale along with their aggressive growth strategy.

"The Genband GENiUS platform, combined with the unique partitioning capabilities and real time session visibility provided by the S3 SBC, allows us to effectively manage the growth in our network.
