Grandstream CPEs interoperable with Metaswitch Networks

Just to keep up on all the interoperability news, let's not forget the all the company-to-company interoperability still going on while the UCIF gets going. The latest case in point is Grandstream Networks, which just announced interoperability with Metaswitch Networks.

Grandstream's SIP/VoIP enterprise voice CPE solutions are now interoperable for Metaswitch service provider customers. Carrier customers can offer the GXP series SIP phones to call centers and enterprise players. The GXV3140 IP phone is also available for enterprise and residential customers--it offers instant real time web and social media applications.

As for Metaswitch, they are happy to bring Grandstream on board because the products work well in the hosted environment. "In particular, with the growing success of Hosted PBX deployments, service providers are looking for a complete solution for their business customers," said Stefan Knight, vice president of strategic alliances at Metaswitch Networks in a release.
