HelloSoft ships VoIP stack for TI wVoIP chip

Tools

We wrote last issue about how Windows Mobile 6 is including a VoIP stack, even if it's handsets don't have VoIP capability. With all due respect to T-Mobile's CEO, HelloSoft has announced a VoIP stack designed for phones based on TI's OMAPV1030 processor. The processor, an ARM type of the same kind that run on Treos and the Apple iPhone, is designed for mass-market handsets. Not all of them will have WiFi radios or wireless VoIP software, but handset designers now have a tool to use VoIP even if they don't want to run Windows Mobile 6.
