How do you define "success"?

Sure, there's a new technical breakthrough every couple of months--innovation nearly at the rate of the computer business. But, one analysis asks, how's VoIP doing as a business? Are you creating shareholder value? And for all the new technology in infrastructure, is the actual end-customer's telephone experience any different?
