Is T-Mobile about to liberate wVoIP?

Tools

You can't always bet on what you read on the British Web site The Register, but the guys over there are saying that T-Mobile is about lift its restriction on VoIP--for a price. Until now, T-Mobile (like most other wireless carriers) got all starchy when its customers used data services for wVoIP. This week, says the Reg, T-Mobile will start selling a Web 'n' Walk Max service that allows a 10GB monthly data limit with no restrictions on VoIP. It'll cost about $40/month for data only and $80/month including cellular voice.
