Jaxtr surpasses 2 million

Tools

Jaxtr, the Silicon Valley VoIP software start-up, says its base of registered users doubled in the last 30 days to 2 million. Put another way, Jaxtr says it's grown three times faster than Skype did, thanks in part to 1.3 million 20-somethings who've registered.

Its VoIP client allows IP calls to be forwarded to mobile phones, and interfaces with Facebook, MySpace, Orkut, Craigslist and other sites.

Jaxtr recently raised $10.3 million in venture cap, and was one of three VoIP software start-ups in Silicon Valley featured in a USA Today piece hailing the return of the dot.com in the form of voice apps.
