JDSU launches VoIP QoS tools
JDSU has now added VoIP call quality monitoring on high capacity networks to its IP network troubleshooting and data analysis platforms, the DA-3400 and DA-3600A. The DA-3400 can support 8,000 simultaneous calls and the DA-3600A can support 64,000 calls, enabling them to provide accurate quality measurements when network load or utilization is at its highest, according to the company. The added VoIP QoS capability enables the tracking of mean opinion score and R Factor, which can be measured for all calls on a gigabit Ethernet circuit that is being utilized 100 percent by VoIP traffic.
