Keeping the CEO in line

Seasoned IT pros know it's time to worry when their CEOs hear about a new technology--and VoIP is no exception. When word gets around the boardroom that VoIP can save money, too many execs try to force a migration when it might not be the right choice for their company. Chris Lee, the European vice president for VoIP gateway company Sentito Networks, says other factors need to come into play: service quality, handsets, and security, let alone questions of administration, migration, and education of IT personnel.
