Korea comes up with VoIP prices for U.S. military

Tools

A year ago, South Korea was about to cut of VoIP service for the U.S. military unless servicemembers used Korean service providers. To add icing to the cake, Korean VoIP companies were going to charge the same for VoIP as for landline calls-as high as 12 cents per minute. Good sense prevailed, and the deadline was put off a year, until tomorrow. In the intervening time, the Korean LG Dacom came up with a plan to charge $35/month for unlimited service and $20/month for up to 500 minutes. A total of seven companies are registered to provide VoIP in South Korea.
