Nefsis debuts next-gen VoIP audio engine with full-duplex, multi-party capabilities

Tools

Nefsis has rolled out a software-based VoIP engine with full-duplex, multiparty audio that enables multiple participants to speak at the same time during video conferences and that offers improved acoustic echo cancellation support for laptops and better noise cancellation.

Nefsis said it also has automatic half-duplex echo cancellation failovers in place when full duplex is not available.

And, the San Diego-based company said, the technology adapts to different networking environments, like low-latency wireline connections, wireless home offices or high-latency international connections, helping to eliminate jitter and guarantee smooth audio.

"Most online service providers use simplex audio for three or more parties, which imposes unnatural limitations as parties wait to speak one at a time," said Allen Drennan, Nefsis chief technology officer. "Eliminating this concern, Nefsis' advanced VoIP engine ensures a superior, high-quality audio experience, regardless of network connection or number of participants speaking in a conference. Combined with Nefsis' support for traditional telephone conferencing, participants can select multiple, reliable audio options to ensure a superior video conferencing experience that meets their organization's unique needs."
