Orange Business, Tata team for telepresence interoperability

Interoperability continues to be the name of the game, and those connections become even more important with video. Orange Business Services has teamed with Tata Communications to expand their Telepresence Community, a B2B Telepresence solution.

Orange has set up an interoperability agreement for Tata Communication's Global Meeting Exchange. The two companies' solutions will now work seamlessly together so that both sets of customers will be able to conduct telepresence meetings seamlessly on each network. With the agreement, customers will have a greater range of methods to use for communication.

Orange's Telepresence Community was launched in July 2010, and it allows Orange customers to hold telepresence meetings in-house as well as with customers, suppliers and partners that are either connected to the global MPLS platform of Orange Business Services or that of a partner carrier. With the addition of Tata Communications, that network has increased even more.
