Pactolus goes open-source

Tools

Last week was AstriCon, the annual shindig for the Asterisk open-source PBX ecosystem, and there were some announcements of interest. Polycom and Asterisk parent Digium are teaming to develop a suite of SIP-based products for small and mid-sized businesses. Fonality announced PBXtra, an IP PBX that can support up to 500 users for as little as $2000 (plus phones, presumably). And just the other day, Pactolus announced that it was going open-source with a SIP-based service creation environment based on the software underlying the company's RapidFLEX service delivery platform.
