Proving ROI is hard but possible

Having trouble proving ROI on converged communications? You're hardly alone. Figuring return on telecom has always been tricky: how do you demonstrate that spending 5 percent more will generate 5 percent more productivity? If you're replacing existing systems, however, the task is a little easier because spending and productivity figures can be coaxed out of those systems. The tricky part is that many of those systems have historically been "too small to worry about." If you're collecting them under one umbrella and unifying them, you'll find that aggregating lots of "too small" systems becomes something quite large and well worth worrying about and managing. The good news is that the numbers are there. The bad news is that you'll have to dig into lots of things that you've been spending money on without really thinking about.
