Pulver announces dates for 2nd HD Comm. Summit
It sounds like Jeff Pulver's first HD Communications Summit was a success, as he's already announced the dates for the second installment. The next HD Communications Summit will take place Sept. 15-16, 2009, in New York City.
Pulver believes HD voice "holds the same promise for the telecom industry as format changes in the entertainment industry." He compares the migration to HD voice with the move to HDTVs, and sees a similar revenue opportunity for companies offering HD voice technologies and services. He also makes the point that voice quality on telecom networks hasn't been improved substantially for more than 70 years, which presents a clear opportunity to innovate and provide a higher quality experience for end-users.
The deadline to apply to speak at the conference is Friday, June 19.
