Report: Cablecos targeting SMBs

Speaking of telco toast, ABI Research says that cablecos are getting interested in the small-business hosted service market. It certainly makes sense; having made multi-million-subscriber inroads into the consumer phone business, where better to apply their bandwidth than small business? There are still obstacles, of course, customer service and tech support being just two. But the infrastructure is there and the bandwidth is available. How long before a big cableco buys a big hosted service provider like M5 Networks?
