Report: Verizon ranked top Hosted VoIP provider

Hosted VoIP is a fast growing and increasingly competive market and no one is probably more aware of that than Verizon (NYSE: VZ). In a recent Vendor Matrix conducted by ABI Research, the telecom company came out on ahead as the top hosted VoIP and unified communications (UC) provider in North America.

According to the analysts, Verizon provides a comprehensive and global hosted VoIP and UC strategy with a fully managed IP MPLS network that provides a pivot for its hosted VoIP and UC services for mid-sized and large enterprises. Verizon is also not afraid to promote its SIP trunking and bundling products and take advantage of multiple vendor partnerships. Its methods have allowed the company to consolidate its market position and make the top of the matrix.
