Salesforce.com early adopters fans of hosted VoIP
Remember all those early-adopting small companies that made Salesforce.com such a success? There's the same ones that are making hosted VoIP a success. A new study from AMI-Partners suggests that the hosted VoIP business is succeeding for the same reason, too: low upfront costs, easy administration, and minimal infrastructure requirements. SMBs don't have the people or the mental bandwidth to deal with complex technology, although they can surely use the market impact that the technology can bring. The study puts the North American hosted VoIP market at $165 million in 2005, growing to $1.57 billion by 2010--a compound growth rate of a staggering 57 percent a year.
