Salesforce.com gets new collaboration tool in Angel's Voice for Chatter
Salesforce.com users now have another tool to make communications easier with the launch of Angel Voice for Chatter, which allows users to post voice updates to Salesforce.com's social collaboration application.
The free application launched last week and means business users of Salesforce.com can keep a steady stream of updates to Chatter, which includes both a voice recording and an instant text transcription. The voice posts allow users to listen to messages directly and help if a transcription is garbled. Neither Voice for Twitter nor Voice for Facebook currently supply transcriptions of audio posts.
"This new social enterprise network, like consumer-facing social media, hinges on the user experience," said Dave Rennyson, president of Angel. "Our goal is to make Chatter even more flexible and efficient by providing voice capabilities, and with Voice for Chatter, we've harnessed the power of the human voice to drive effective collaboration and deepen relationships in a way that black-and-white words never can."
Microstrategy subsidiary Angel provides enterprise cloud-based customer experience management solutions, including focused Interactive Voice Response and contact center solutions, which allow enterprises to deploy voice, SMS, chat and business intelligence applications.
