ShoreTel makes deal with distributor, ScanSource Communications
Finding ways to get your services out to customers is a major concern for IP communications companies. ShoreTel (NasdaqGS: SHOR) took steps today to increase its channel strength.
ShoreTel has announced an agreement with a value-added distributor, ScanSource Communications, to distribute its line of business communication solutions to establish a two-tier channel program for the company. The expansion of the ShoreTel Champion Partner Program to a worldwide, two-tier channel program increases the IP comm's market share in the IP telephony, mobility and unified communications (UC) markets. ScanSource Communications and other distributors will offer partners stand-alone ShoreTel products, as well as fully integrated, multi-vendor solutions designed to best meet customer needs.
"As the economic climate improves, communications providers have the opportunity to accelerate growth through enhancing their channel programs. A two-tier approach can improve access to potential customers and enable greater cost efficiencies and differentiated services," said Megan Fernandez, Principal Analyst at Gartner in a release.
