Siemens cuts a deal with salesforce.com

Tools

Siemens has come in for its share of lumps on these pages, so it's only fair to mention the company when it has some good news. Siemens and salesforce.com have announced an integration deal that will let the hosted CRM service work with the telephony functions of Siemens: OpenScape messaging and collaboration server. Salesforce.com would work either with a hosted OpenScape server or one that's on a customer's premises, and can work with a Siemens PBX or any IP PBX, the company said. With everything in place, salesforce.com users would be able to call colleagues or customers directly from the salesforce interface. The service costs about $100 to $150 per person, plus salesforce.com's usual fees.
