Skype adds new talent

Tools

Today Skype announced the addition of two new executives to its growing roster. Neal Goldman will join as Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer and Doug Bewsher will join as Chief Marketing Officer--both coming to the company in June.

Both reporting to Skype's CEO Josh Silverman, Goldman will oversee all legal and regulatory matters for Skype, while Bewsher will be in charge of Skype's global brand and marketing, as well as the provider's local go-to-market activities. Goldman came over from 3Com--recently acquired by Hewlett-Packard--where he was Executive VP, Chief Legal and Administrative Office. Bewsher joins from mobile startup mig33 where he was CMO. Looks like Skype is getting back to its startup roots with Silverman looking to Bewsher to "shepherd Skype’s viral technology marketing."
