Snom partners with ZyXEL to bring SMBs new VoIP platform

Snom Technology is partnering with ZyXEL Communications to offer end-to-end VoIP solutions for small and medium-size businesses. The deal assures interoperability between snom IP phones and ZyXEL Ethernet switches and is targeted at customers from telecommunications service providers and medium-sized businesses to home users.

Snom's suite of VoIP desktop phones includes advanced IP phones such as the snom 3xx series, full-color touchscreen desktop phones like the snom 870, and standards-based SIP phones qualified by Microsoft for use with Microsoft Lync 2010--the snom 300 UC edition and the snom 821 UC edition.

ZyXEL's carrier-grade Ethernet switches feature non-blocking architecture for superior performance, PoE for connecting VoIP devices, traffic prioritisation for bandwidth intensive voice, video and data applications, quality of Service for VoIP and video traffic and green compliance with the newest 802.3az EEE standard.
