Software SBC from Borderware

Borderware Technologies makes a big deal out of the way its session border controllers secure a VoIP network. At last year's Fall VON, they trotted out a relationship with encryption guru and PGP creator Phil Zimmerman. (One of the things that made that show so much fun for me was the way all the SBC makers casually and off-handedly slagged each other in private conversations.) Now, Borderware is introducing its SIPassure security gateway. SIPassure is a software product that Borderware says combines features of an SBC, a firewall and an application layer gateway. It runs on off-the-shelf Solaris and Linux machines rather than proprietary boxes.
