SpiderOak crawls into enterprise storage
SpiderOak, a developer of cloud backup, sync and sharing apps, has rolled out an enterprise-class cloud storage platform called SpiderOak Blue.
The company compares its enterprise offering to its existing consumer offering in terms of ease-of-use and privacy, but SpiderOak Blue says it also enables centralized management and provisioning of all company data, saving IT departments the onus of administering each user account.
There are three service levels for SpiderOak Blue spanning small-to-midsize and enterprise-class businesses: Blue for SMBs, Blue OpenLicense for universities and Blue Plus for large enterprises.
Pricing for SpiderOak's Blue service starts at $400 per terabyte of capacity, regardless of how many users or systems access the data.
