Workers prefer email over social media for all forms of collaboration, Mimecast survey finds

Despite the proliferation of communications methods in the enterprise, most employees still rely on email as their primary communications tool, according to a survey by unified email management firm Mimecast. The survey of 2,500 information workers found workers spend 888 working hours per year using email. The survey also showed email is preferred over all social media for all forms of collaboration, including exchanging documents, arranging meetings, requesting information and sharing opinions.
