Canadian iPhone users are first to try VoIP calling option

Facebook is testing VoIP calls on its Messenger app for Canadian iPhone users. Users can tap the "i" in the top right corner of the app and then tap "Free Call," according to a report by Forbes. If Facebook takes the VoIP calling feature beyond the test phase, Facebook users will soon be able to make free calls from the Messenger app. In addition, Messenger app users with iOS and Android devices can send voice messages. Users can tap the "+" button and hold the "record button" to record messages. Releasing the button sends the message, while sliding one's finger off the button cancels the message, Forbes explained.
