East Coast VoIP firms provided uninterrupted service despite hurricane, says Netlinx

The widespread communications disruption caused by Hurricane Sandy has increased demand for VoIP services, according to VoIP provider Netlinx. VoIP firms were able to provide uninterrupted service to business customers on the East Coast despite the destruction of telecom infrastructure and disruption of communications services, explained Chris Panzeca, chief executive officer of Netlinx, a division of Carrier Alliance Holding. "We expect to increase our sales to our current customers as well as new customers who were impacted by the storm.
