SPOTLIGHT: iiNet offers multi-line VoIP solution

Tools

iiNet woos business. Australian ISP, iiNet, is rolling out a business grade multi-line VoIP phone service targeting SMBs. VoIP usage has been relatively slow in Australia with both carriers, Telstra and Optus reluctant to see traditional call revenues cut and because of inferior broadband speeds.
"This product is a great initiative which will allow small and medium businesses to benefit from the use of VoIP via reduced call costs, ease of set-up and free calls between iiNet VoIP users," said Andy McIntyre, general manager of iiNet Business. He said the launch of multi-line VoIP will be followed by additional services aimed at the SMB market including an easy way for businesses to share information between users via a secure online environment using Virtual Private Networking, plus SIP.  Report
