SPOTLIGHT: VoIP, UC appeal to 4 out of 5 businesses in UK

Research by Vanson Bourne in Slough says 87 percent of businesses plan to invest in UC by the end of 2008. More than 80 percent of respondents say they're going to go with VoIP solutions while 41 percent are going to invest in interactive voice response (IVR) as an alternative. About 80 percent of businesses say UC will enable them to integrate call centers with the other parts of their operations. The study seems to be a little optimistic compared to other research that has been published lately.
